EPER has taken a significant step to strengthen its international presence participating in the trade mission organized by the Government of Navarre in Houston, Texas.
Thanks to this initiative, our Commercial Director – Aritz Diego Ugalde – had the opportunity to travel to Texas in search of new business opportunities. He held meetings with potential customers and partners, attended networking events, and visited key infrastructure of the renewable energy sector in Houston.
The Government of Navarre has led this trade mission to Houston – known as the energy capital of the world – with the purpose of boosting the ecosystem of the Navarre’s renewable energy sector in the governmental, business, and academic areas. This initiative is part of the Navarre International Plan and seeks to generate business opportunities for local companies in the US market, specifically in Texas, an important energy center in the United States.

During the mission, various activities were carried out, including presentations on topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence on renewable energies, the establishment of new renewable energy centers, the role of gas in decarbonization, and innovation in clean energies. In addition, meetings were held with government and academic institutions in Texas, such as the University of Houston, Rice University Carbon Hub, Rice University Accelerator, Greentown Labs, Greater Houston Partnership, and the Mayor’s office of Houston.
Texas is a leading energy-producing state in the United States. In 2022, it generated 26% of the country’s wind power, maintaining its leadership position for 17 consecutive years. Additionally, it is a major energy consumer, making it a strategic market for renewable energy companies. With a 4.1% unemployment rate and a high educational level, the state offers a skilled workforce and a favorable environment for business development in the energy industry.
The gained experience and established contacts during this event offer us a competitive advantage to keep growing and consolidating ourselves as a global leading company in energy efficiency solutions.
